People often come here at a turning point, after a crisis, a loss, or a growing sense that something no longer fits. Whatever brought you, the work starts in the same place: coming to understand what you have lived through and how it shaped the way you think, feel, and relate to others. My practice specializes in trauma, OCD, and anxiety, with additional focus on depression and on life transitions and personal identity.

Specializing In

Trauma

Complex PTSD, developmental and relational trauma, PTSD after a single event, and adjustment disorders. Many of the people I see were hurt or neglected by someone they depended on, and learned to stay safe by putting everyone else first. As adults they find it hard to say no, they often realize they are angry only after the moment has passed, and they are not sure who they are or what they want for themselves.

OCD

Obsessive-compulsive disorder in all its forms, including obsessions about harm, contamination, unwanted sexual thoughts, religion and morality (scrupulosity), relationships, symmetry or things feeling “just right,” and the fear of being a bad person. Compulsions can be visible, like checking, washing, confessing, or asking for reassurance, or mental, like silently neutralizing a thought or reviewing it over and over until it feels resolved. Many people also avoid whatever sets the thought off. Treatment combines exposure and response prevention (ERP) with medication management.

Anxiety

Generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, and phobias, along with the physical toll anxiety takes: racing heart, tension, stomach problems, and trouble sleeping. Many people I see have lived with anxiety for years and have quietly built their lives around it, avoiding places and situations, turning down opportunities, over-preparing, and seeking reassurance that only helps for a few minutes. From the outside they look like they are doing fine. Treatment combines medication management with therapy that helps you approach what you have been avoiding and understand what the anxiety has been protecting you from.

Additional Areas of Focus

Depression

Low mood, lost motivation, emptiness, and the heaviness that will not lift, including depression that has not improved with earlier treatment. This includes depression that shows up alongside anxiety, trauma, or major life changes.

Life Transitions & Personal Identity

Major changes in relationships, career, education, health, family, or where you live, as well as the quieter ones: a career that no longer feels right, questions about meaning or spirituality, reaching midlife and reevaluating what you want, or realizing you have been living by expectations that were never your own. You do not need a diagnosis to do this work. You need a point in your life where the old way of operating has stopped fitting.

Not Sure Where You Fit?

Many people do not arrive with a label, or arrive with one that never quite fit. Depression, burnout, trouble focusing, anxiety, and moods that swing are often what bring someone in. You do not have to work out which page describes you before reaching out. That is what the evaluation is for.
